Atlanta Festivals You Don't Want To Miss This April

2019 Atlanta Festivals

Spring has officially arrived in Georgia, which means it is time for some of the best festivals that you don't want to miss!

The 4th Annual Food Truck festival in Historic Grant Park will host food trucks from all over the Southeast. Additionally, local artists will be displaying their crafts and local musicians will provide live music. Even better, there is no entry fee!

The Festival on Ponce is an Atlanta arts and crafts festival set in the historic park, Olmsted Linear Park. There will be almost 130 displays of arts and crafts. In addition to fine arts, there will be a children’s area and local food and beverage. Attendance at this event is also free!

Atlanta Streets Alive is an event that opens streets for people by temporarily closing them to cars. The mission is to build demand for streets to properly serve people by providing multiple transportation options, including by foot, bike, transit, and in cars. The April event kicks off the year by shutting down Peachtree Street temporarily for people to walk or bike their hearts out. There are also events in June and September. This year, Kaufman Law will be an activity partner at the April 7th event. Come see us and try out our bicycle safety obstacle course! For more on Atlanta Streets Alive, read here.

The 83rd annual Dogwood Festival is a three day long event held at Piedmont Park. The festival is a perfect Spring family outing, where you can view all sorts of arts and crafts in the Artist Market, enjoy live music, and taste yummy food.

This festival takes National Grilled Cheese Day to a whole other level. Enjoy grilled cheeses from various Atlanta restaurants at Atlantic Station on April 13th! This event requires tickets.

If you're looking for a festival that is all about music, this one is for you! Get tickets here.

This festival is organized by artists for artists. It's a two-day outdoor festival bringing art to the streets of Sandy Springs! Come out to enjoy local musicians, interactive art stations, and up to 150 arts and crafts participants. This event is FREE and family friendly.

Inman Park proudly presents the 48th annual Spring Festival and Tour of Homes. This neighborhood festival is widely regarded as Atlanta’s most spirited and eclectic and includes a parade, great food, and a fun hang out. This year, the Tour of Homes happens on Friday, April 26th with the festival following on Saturday and Sunday. Get your tickets here!

Unique #Atlanta festivals give us a new way to spend a sunny Georgia day, but large crowds do create greater risks in multiple ways. Although we do encourage being involved in the community, we want everyone to practice safety precautions if you do attend these types of events.

For starters, we suggest exercising extra caution as you drive or walk to and from an event. Traffic will be heavier surrounding these venues and more pedestrians will be out. For tips on preventing pedestrian accidents, read here. If you're involved in an accident, it is wise to contact an Atlanta accident attorney to discuss your potential case.

Additionally, being outside in the heat for long periods of time can also be a hazard to your health. To avoid heat exhaustion, read here.

Lastly, other injuries at these events can and do occur if you aren't careful. Many times, dogs are allowed within these crowds which creates the risk of dog bites. If you experience a dog bite or endure another injury while attending an Atlanta festival, it is extremely vital that you contact an injury attorney to discuss your potential case.
