Super Bowl LIII comes to town on February 3rd at the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium. All of the events surrounding the big game, start on January 26th. This is a BIG deal for Atlanta and the event will be welcoming thousands of visitors into the city. This is the first time since 2000 that Atlanta is hosting the Super Bowl. Our city has gained nearly 1.6 million more residents since then. Because of that, many locals are dreading the amount of chaos the game is going to bring to the city. Atlanta Police Officers will be highly visible throughout the city leading up to and during the big game.
The best thing you can do is allow yourself more time on your daily commute. Many visitors will be entering the city for the first time and traffic will be worse than normal.
